A new year and a new medium!

This Christmas my wife bought a Derwent water color pencil set for me! And I love it!
I did a test with the pencils a few months ago, using a friend's set.
This sketch/painting came from a picture of a cottage store in Brown County, Indiana. I also
added some ink to it afterwords.

Just past the turn.

I have had this photo for a while now and was hoping to paint it at some point. Until then I just finished it in Pen-n-ink. Nice little drawing :)

Christmas is coming :)

My wife and I have been talking about sending Christmas cards out to folks and I just so happen to finish this little ink drawing over the weekend. I think we might have a card soon :)

A good day on the creek

A couple months ago I went fly fishing on Sugar Creek and had a great day!
Caught a few....and lost a couple. Still honing down my fly fishing mojo.
Here is a pen-n-ink drawing I did based off a photo from that day. My very first piece based on one of my favorite things to do...fishing.

New Pen-n-Ink

Here is a recent ink drawing I did. Yet another tree I took a picture of while fishing.

Finally a post .

It has been a while since I last posted new work. So here we are.

This painting was inspired by a tree that a friend and I came across while fishing the creeks last spring. Enormous tree, and very old looking...I loved it :) So I painted it! I did post a couple early progress pictures of this painting a while back.

Sketching and planning

This is a sketch of another painting I am planning. I see this particular field everyday I drive into work...always enjoyed it.

New paintings! and more to come!

So here are a few paintings I have finished or am finishing. Some of these will be in the IMC gallery coming in October.
